i asked several women i've been touched by in one way or another if they'd be open to sending me some makeup-free videos of themselves intimately looking into the camera for this song's accompanying video (on youtube under my name).
some politely declined.
others said it felt very confronting, vulnerable and blood pressure raising!
seems like it's implied since we are very young that we have to present our bodies and faces in particular ways that aren't necessarily representative of the one-of-a-kind that we each actually are.
